Audiobook read by Amy McFadden I ve listen to too much of this one I have the kindle ebook sync The last 30% I switched to the written words But by that time I just didn t care Amy s voice was irritating and annoying This was the first time I ve ever listen to a book by Camille Pagan and was totally turned off by the voice narration Each book I ve read has gradually gone downhill The book I enjoyed best was Woman Last Seen in Her Thirties And honestly I wasn t crazy about the storytelling written words either But the Audiobook was the worse This is my 4th read with Pagan definitely my least favorite2 stars at BEST

I'm fine and neither are you Summary Ç eBook, ePUB or Kindle PDF Ree to a radical proposal both will write a list of changes they want each other to make then commit to complete and total honestyWhat seems like a smart idea uickly spirals out of control revealing new rifts and even deeper secrets As Penelope stares down the possible implosion of her marriage she must ask herself When it comes to love is honesty really the best polic. Love the title The author did a great job of tackling some not so easy subject matter This book revolved around Penelope Penny and her struggles with life She is a very relatable character that as many of us do probably thinks that life is hard at times She is feeling down and frustrated with her husband and a bit green eyed jealous of her friend Jenny s perfect lifeAs life has it we will find out that Jenny s life was not so perfect and in fact Penny doesn t have it all that bad The author dealt with some very serious issues of society today being opioid addiction and overdose I am a nurse and believe me this is an everyday issue that touches on lives than you might think It gives you an insight of what the friends and family have to deal with in the aftermath The grief and the guilt they have thinking they could have done to prevent it All in all this was a well thought out book I struggled a bit with it because it was not what I expected After admiring the cute cover and reading the blurb I thought I was in for a fun rom com book It was much serious than I had set me sights on so it was of a it is me not you with this book As you can see it is getting plenty of rave reviews so there are a people loving this book I liked it but it was just a little too serious for meThank you so much to Lake Union Publishing Goodreads Netgalley and Camille Pagan for my ARC

I'm fine and neither are you Summary Ç eBook, ePUB or Kindle PDF Honesty is the best policyexcept maybe when it comes to marriage in this brilliant novel about the high price of perfection from bestselling author Camille Pagán Wife Mother Breadwinner Penelope Ruiz Kar is doing it all and barely keeping it together Meanwhile her best friend Jenny Sweet appears to be sailing through life As close as the two women are Jenny’s passio. I read this book waiting in the cold for the bus to arrive on the bus in the metro before my class started while the teacher was giving a lecture during short breaks between classes walking from the metro to the bus on my five minute walk home taking the stairs to my apartment opening the door to my room jumping on my bed Basically I read it everywhere I could and now that I realize it there are so many opportunities in daily life to read a book And it happens oh so naturally This was a page turner for me My first book from this author and one I wasn t so sure about based on the average rating and the premise of what I believe has been done before over and over saving one s marriage But what makes this book different than the others are 1 the fact that the saving our marriage plan the characters put into motion is pushed forward by the death of the protagonist s dear friend 2 that both Penelope and Sanjay come up with an interesting list on what will take to save their marriage both must respect 3 the secrets unearthed by the plan and 4 the self discovery that occurs in Penelope especiallyEverything felt very realistic to me The death of the friend is a bit oddly written in the beginning but the the story progresses the it is discussed and I dare say understood even if such a death should perhaps never make sense Penelope s grieving takes time because she also has to deal with her precarious marriage She is overwhelmed but her dry humour and get things done kind of attitude keeps her afloat I was invested in her and wanted her to succeed I had no idea whether she actually could manage to save her and Sanjay s relationship but I sure enjoyed witnessing the multiple attempts It was entertaining and fun and yet uite serious as well Blog Youtube Twitter Instagram Google Bloglovin
